The Aromas Of Tango is a modern fusion project led by harmonicist composer Cy Leo incorporating modern tango, tango jazz fusion and neoclassical music by Astor Piazzolla, Hernan Valencia and Cy Leo.
Aromas is the synonym of ‘scent’ commonly used in the language in wine production. Historically both tango and jazz are musical genres derived from the culture of working class nightlife, a scenery filled with alcohol and loosened spirit.
Apart from legendary compositions by Astor Piazzolla mostly from the album ‘Zero Hour’ and innovative tango fusion compositions by Hernan Valencia, Cy Leo wrote a series of chamber compositions specifically inspired by the magic of wine. The concert will be performed in the formation of tango quintet, jazz septet and chamber quartet.
